SPHI Kreuz Subsea Brunei is a Joint Venture subsea construction and IRM contractor providing offshore vessel, diving and ROV services to worldwide energy companies. SPHI Kreuz Subsea operates a local entity in Brunei and is seeking various positions for its project organisation.


The Senior Equipment Technician tasks include supporting Kreuz Subsea Brunei in all aspects of diving system maintenance and industry compliance assurance. The full time position is based in Kuala Belait in Negara Brunei Darussalam and is ideally suited for a local or regional person and includes a housing and car allowance package.  The position reports to the Project Diving Advisor (Diving Operations & Compliance Manager).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service air and saturation diving equipment and related systems at Kreuz Subsea’s base in Kuala Belait.
  • Maintain and repair diving system equipment offshore when required.
  • Assist the Project Diving Advisor with equipment certification.
  • Maintain and track all certification for the diving systems.
  • Engage in the logistics of diving and ROV system in and out of Brunei and offshore.
  • Manage and mentor a team of trainee diving system technicians.
  • Demonstrate competency with planned maintenance systems, IMCA and other industry standard maintenance regimes
  • Experience with IMCA D023, D024 and D053.
  • Work cross functionally on best practices and improvement activities to align and harmonize with Kreuz Subsea.
  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership and communication qualities with various nationalities.


  • Have an appropriate mechanical or electrical professional certificate or trade ticket, and complies to requirements set out in IMCA D001 Job Category D10/D12
  • Have at least eight (8) years’ experience in the offshore industry, at least five (5) years of which have been spent offshore.
  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership and communication qualities with various nationalities.
  • Have a valid offshore medical certificate.
  • Have a valid driver licence

The legal counsel is responsible to review documents for protection of the Company’s legal and contractual risk exposure and adherence to the Company’s policy. The legal counsel also advises the management of the Company of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. The full time position is based in Singapore


  • Shall have Bachelor of Laws
  • At least 8 years’ experience with contract law and international contracts
  • At least 4 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas subsea construction

  • Duties:

  • To assess legal and contractual risk exposure of the Company and to ensure that these risks are minimized,monitored and managed
  • To work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to broader corporate requirements
  • To provide advice, assistance and guidance to management on all legal and contractual matters
  • To draft, review, negotiate and finalise corporate and commercial contracts eg. master services agreements,NDAs, consortium agreements, joint venture agreements, tendering agreements, subcontracts, etc.
  • To review, negotiate and advise on Client terms and conditions to the tender team during tender stage until award and execution of contracts
  • To assist on corporate secretarial matters including preparing board resolutions and to liaise with external corporate secretarial agents
  • To handle disputes and manage external counsel for legal proceedings and arbitrations
  • To liaise with internal stakeholders and external insurer for incidents relating to loss and/or damage, and repairs
  • To maintain contractual records and ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness
  • To ensure that the Company has appropriate systems to enable it to conduct its activities lawfully and ethically
  • To abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company’s standards and policies
  • To oversee the insurance program of the Company.
